Federico Infantino can call the waves of Margaret River his home spot. The Italian lives there got the Australian permanentresidency visa in 2017. Federico collected his best action from the last summer in West OZ.

“The season started epic with big waves in November and off shore wind during the day which usually appears for the sunset session only  from late January on. During the season the Seabreeze starts to blow every day from 12.30/1 pm, the side direction increases until 4 pm and then, when the sun goes down, the wind slowly drops. Every day after work I’m at the car park rigging my Goya 4.2m and Quatro 71 lt. The sunset sessions in Margs are just EPIC!

For the locals – the windsurfing crew in Margs is not that big – it’s normal to see me rigging up my small rig with no wind. For the tourists looks strange in that moment when the magic happens in Margs: The wind increases again and blows complete off shore, the waves start firing and I’m in. This year I was really focused for the Australian contest in Margs, the Windsurfing Margaret River Pro. After a bad start during the round 1 I was able to advance every heat till the big final. I was happy with my 3rd place at the end of the event.” (Federico Infantino)
