Until now no serious competition action took place at the Essaouira Wave Classic. Today the riders had the chance to do a little warm-up session at Moulay. As the conditions were not really constant the riders decided to wait another day and start with the competition tomorrow. The briefing tomorrow will be at 9am at the hotel. Shuttle to Moulay leaves at 9.30 and the first possible start is at 11am according to conditions.

Leo Ray (France): ‘I’m super happy to be there, back in Morocco. The concept of the Wave Classic is what I expected : stay all together and share some good times on the water too, without highlighting that much the performance side, with less pressure and more fun. I can’t really complain about the draw of my team, but I feel a bit of pressure on me as I should prove to my team mates that I am as good as they are !’
Leo will team up with Fettah Lamara, Boujmaa Guilloul and Graham Ezzy.

Meanwhile you can check out the video by Umi Pictures from the first days in Morocco with a bit of lifestyle, pros acting as windsurfing or surfing teachers and an interview with Steve Palier, the organizer of the ‘Wave Classics’.
