Swedish freestyler Erik Håkman (S-1988) spent a lot of time on Boracay, Philippines and improved his freestyle skills in the flat water lagoon, which is an ideal place for windsurfing. You just have to show up at the right time at this spot as there is not enough water in the lagoon. The water colors can be great, when the sun is out. The little island of Boracay offers a lot of great beaches, but the lagoon offers the best conditions for windsurfing. It’s even possible to ride waves on the reef.

Erik released the clip called “Back to Philly” in the “Straight Outta Fiskebäck” style. Fully focused on freestyle, no compromise at all. He spent time just before Christmas 2012 on the Asian island. This clip is edited by Calle Pettersson from Shitbay Productions. In the meanwhile Erik had his debut on the PWA Freestyle tour. He got a wildcard for Podersdorf in May 2013 and participated in the world class fleet for the very first time. He won the first round against Quincy Offringa, but then lost against Tonky Frans in round 2. Overall a 25th place, not too bad!
