Erik Hakman is one of the most dedicated freestyle windsurfers from Sweden. This time he released a video with brilliant freestyle action from one of his favourite spots.
The Island of Lyrön (Lyr) is located in the Bohuslän region on the Swedish West coast, right next to the coastal town of Mollösund. The body of water surrounding the island has a wide variety of spots to suit every possible wind direction and features to keep you coming back for more. The spot has very few windsurfers. It is also where I first started riding, 10 years ago, and I’ve kept coming back every summer since then. Throughout the years I’ve strayed from the main venues to explore more of the surrounding areas, and until this day Lyrön is by far the most exciting spot I’ve sailed, especially on a SW-W forecast. When Fiskebäck gets around 20 knots of wind Lyrön is always on a solid 30 knots. So sick!! Erik Hakman
