Adrien Bosson wins the second EFPT tour stop in front of Sam Esteve and Jacopo Testa. The EFPT Toro Andaluz 2017 was an event with four days full of high class, flat water freestyle action. “There was only a handful of events in the past, where the conditions were almost too extreme to run the heats and the Toro Andaluz will go down in history, to be one of those memorable events. We are more than looking forwards to work with the local team, to make this event happen again in the upcoming season”, the EFPT stated.

The Italian freestyle windsurfer Riccardo Marca reports for us from the event. He finished in 10th and he said it was the windiest event he has ever attended.

EFPT Toro Andaluz 2017 – Riccardo Marca reports

Yesterday the second stop of the European freestyle tour finished. It was a great event and definitely the windiest I’ve ever attended.
We got three days of strong Levante in a row, and it was howling the last two days of the event. On the final day of the event the gusts were even up to 60 knots, the scenery was almost the one of the Red Bull Storm Chase. Luckily the wind dropped down a little in the afternoon and we managed to complete the second double elimination. The level was insane, congratulations to the top three guys and to all the participants for getting out there, that’s what I call radical conditions for freestyle.

In the first heat of the double elimination I had to face Francesco Cappuzzo who sailed better than me. I’m not really happy about my sailing during this event, but I think that sometimes you need to lose to get better.

I usually get really angry with myself when I lose, this time I stepped forward and I tried to not be too upset about it. Instead I tried to look at what I could have done better, the moves I could have landed and the ones I should have not tried. I’m really positive for the upcoming events and motivated to keep on improving.

I’m now in Malaga airport and I’m gonna leave in few hours. I’ll be training as much as I can till the next EFPT stop in Lanzarote.
