33 riders signed up for the fifth EFPT event at Costa Teguise in Lanzarote to fight for the 10.000€ prize-money and valuable points for the overall ranking.
After two completed double eliminations Belgian windsurfer Yentel Caers wins the event in front of Adrien Bosson and Antony Ruenes.
In the second double elimination Yentel defeated Steven van Broeckhoven, who was on fire and managed to win 6 heats in a row. Yentel won with 45.55 points against Steven with 41.60 points. The final was Yentel’s first heat and Steven’s 7th heat of the day, who won against Adi Beholz, Dieter van der Eyken, Nic Hibdige, Antoine Albert, Antony Ruenes and Adrien Bosson.
Frenchman Adrien Bosson, who was in leading position after the first double elimination lost against Steven van Broeckhoven, who was almost unstoppable. As Adrien finished the second double elimination in 3rd he lost his lead and finished the event in 2nd.
This victory is Yentel Caers’ second event victory in a row after his victory at the EFPT event in Matas Blancas (Fuerteventura). Congrats! The hardest opponent was French freestyler Adrien Bosson, who made it in second place after a competition break of 9 months.
