Dany Bruch created a new boardshape, the Black Box, based on a style shaped back in the 80ties. Bartek Jankowski followed him with the camera during a windsurfing session at his homespot El Cabezo, Tenerife and Rayco Cano edited the clip. It looks like the wide board concept with a reduced overall length (215 cm) works great for Dany.

good for beginners who sail with all the weight on the back of the board. bad for landing high jumps. there are several custom brands testing boards like this since years. I tried this type of board last year several times, the result is that i do not have a board like this. Anyway the tendency is to put the backfootstrap nearer to the back and to make the boards shorter, if it gets too wide specially in the back you risk injury landing higher jumps and you loose the contact to the wave while surfing specially as the wave… Read more »
If you give Danny a piece of wood from a chair he will still be able to taka it. I dont believe in commercial boxes,pockets,skates,coffins whatsoever… my humble opinion… the real difference is between a multi and single fin. A big shout for Keith Teboul and Kauli for putting new blood into wave riding.
