After years of trying the time has finally come where all the powers that be have united in Dahab to bring to life the first ever Dahab Festival. Planned for the 14th May a week of festivity will follow with everything from free diving to free drinks!
Dahab a well established windsurf Mecca already, will be holding its first truly international windsurf competition as well as free clinics and windsurfing tasters for everyone to get involved in. For those who want a chance to compete against the best local talent as well as international riders there is a proposed freestyle competition, a flood lit expression session in the renowned Baby bay as well as a sunset tow in. Local bar owners and centres are set to show case Dahab’s amazing conditions and funky night life with a week of action packed activity and non stop parties. Activities will include wakeboarding, Kiting, Diving and even camel racing. More details coming soon.

as far as i know the windsurfing side of dahab festival is being organised by james hoare and colin dixon. (facebook stalk them…)
