Sidney “Sid” Heinze, a 24 year old student from Kiel, Northern Germany went for a summer trip with his friends Mani and Phil. Sid and Mani picked up their friend Phil in Vienna first and drove all the way to Greece, took the ferry from Athens, Piräus and enjoyed the life in the windsurfer’s paradise Palekastro. They decided to camp at the Freak station in a luxury environment next to the beach and had wind for their 4,4m or 4,8m sails almost every day. Most of the days they spent at the Tenda Bay, a pure freestyle spot with real flat water conditions. The spot is located a bit north of Palekastro, at the most northeastern peninsula of Crete, the largest Greek island and the fifth-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea.

All in all it was a great trip and the clip shows how they travelled to their final destination Palekastro, where they sailed in perfect freestyle conditions. It’s definitely worth to go for a trip to this nice island.
