Charles Vandemeulebroucke aka “Charliboy” scored a full week of good waves at his home spots. Charles, who is originally from France, moved to French Polynesia a few years ago to live his dream.

This swell was perfect timing, as Charles just got his new gear and he was dying to test it.

“My 2019 Goya Fringe are so perfectly adapted to Tahitian reef breaks, and Keith had just once again delivered me a customized masterpiece of a sailboard with the very last new innovations of shapes and constructions. In other terms, all was set! The forecast turned into gold for a full week, which is not easy in the late season period like November. For 6 days in a row I was able to sail from 12 to 40 knts and from 1m to 3m down the line perfect reef waves. Good add in this season, the sun was as bright as it could be and we almost didn’t see a cloud during the week. I ended the week at Teahupoo on a Sunday funday with my two mates for one of the most easy, accessible and beautiful days you would dream of. Teahupoo is the beauty and the beast sometimes, and sometimes it’s just the beauty and seems to be touched by the finger of god. Now gear is stored may be for months but I have pictures in my head to go through these times …My sails are awesome, my board is the most amazing thing i’ve put my feet on on a wave and Yes windsurfing is the best sport ever.”
