Boujmaa Guilloul won the AWT (American Windsurfing Tour) for the first time. He has been competing in international events for 13 years. This year he not only won this title, he as well organized a fantastic event at his home spot Moulay Bouzerktoune in May 2016. The Moroccan, who got banned from the PWA tour in 2015 and put the focus on the AWT 100% after that incident, won his home event and brought the AWT to Africa’s mainland for the first time. He managed to keep off his two main rivals for the title Morgan Noireaux and Kevin Pritchard, but still isn’t 100% happy about his actual performance and wants to get on a new level in 2017. The AWT released a nice interview with Boujmaa about his title, which you can read below. We just can say, congrats Bouj and let’s hope to see you ripping waves and flying through the air for many more years!!
