boot Düsseldorf will once again open its doors at the beginning of the year, from 21 to 29 January 2023. Ticket sales have just started, and visitors are looking forward to their annual opening in the Rhine metropolis. The spotlight is on surfing, which is right at the heart of boot Düsseldorf 2023 with its new home in Hall 17.

The move of surfing into the visitor circuit of boot Düsseldorf is a real benefit for exhibitors and visitors. It contributes to even greater contact with potential surfers and makes it possible to attract a new and young audience. boot Düsseldorf Director Petros Michelidakis

60 m long 1 meter deep pool with 34 wind machines

The attraction in hall 17 will be the 60 meter long 1 meter deep pool. This year boot Düsseldorf 2023 puts the trendy topic of wingfoiling in the limelight: Clear the stage for wingfoiling! The XXL pool is the new action center of the surf sport, which has once again increased in depth for this purpose. Almost silently, 34 wind machines will ensure that the best wingfoilers in the world can demonstrate their spectacular skills in Düsseldorf during the nine days of the fair.

The pool thus becomes the water stage for the current number one trend in water sports: wingfoiling. At the same time, the manufacturers will be showing their latest product developments at their stands, explained in detail by the experts and the athletes. In the large wingfoiling focus, there will also be answers to the current high demand for information on the side of the beginners. Visitors can find out about the training courses, equipment and get tips for the most attractive national and international waters and destinations.

Of course, the classic windsurfing, SUP and kite topics will also be comprehensively represented with product presentations, new boards, sails, kites, equipment and accessories. Show interludes, award ceremonies and interviews with the stars and starlets of the scene ensure a cool and dynamic stage program at boot Düsseldorf 2023.

boot Düsseldorf Director Petros Michelidakis points out that the boat Düsseldorf is a business fair but is also committed to keep the energy costs low not only during the fair.

We took additional measures that do not affect the exhibition or its schedule but we of course have a social responsibility. We were able to further reduce our electricity consumption, because we no longer turn on lights in the corridors near our offices. At 9 o’clock in the evening we turn off the outside lights. We reduce the lights in the areas without people and will relocate scheduled activities to other areas. In the fall 2020, we decided to equip the entire exhibition center with the so-called Hepa filters. At that time we realized that we must minimize the risk of an infection as much as we can. Hepa filters are the same filters used in operating rooms, they filter 99.9% of viruses and bacteria and circulate the air continuously. This has the positive effect that we do not have to constantly let outside air into the hall to stabilize the C02 content and this leads to the fact that we naturally consume even less energy. boot Düsseldorf Director Petros Michelidakis
