The “Santa Cruz Classic” at Waddell Creek, just outside of San Francisco, was the first event on the American Windsurfing Tour and took place from May 5-8. Over 70 riders from all over have gathered at Waddell Creek to take part in this event. Nathan Mershon could win the expert man division, Brian Caserio the masters, Ingrid Larouche the women, Bernd Roediger the youth, Eric Sorensen the amatour group and Josh Stone the expression session.
