Ho’okipa needs skills! The ladies managed to handle the rocks, the reef, the channel and the power of the waves quite well in the 2017 Aloha Classic. Matt Holton filmed them competing in the IWT Aloha Classic 2017. His video shows the real Ho’okipa: how they got in and out out, how they crashed, how they ripped in the clean waves, how they got washed and how they struggled when the wind was off on the inside. This clip shows the real life situation. It’s pure, unedited video. In the end it was Sarah Hauser, who smacked the waves the hardest and won. Congrats to Sarah and all the other ladies, who performed really well in not easy conditions!!!
