The 2024 Aloha Classic has started on October, 24. It’s the big final of the IWT / PWA unified tour. 13 ladies and 46 men are competing at Ho’okipa. Current tour leaders are Lina Erpenstein from Germany and Marcilio Browne from Brazil. Kai Katchadourian, Jace Panebianco, Rob Funk and Craig Yester are presenting the event on the mic. The event started with quite unusual conditions, which were challenging for the riders. The swell was brilliant, but the wind shifted several times, even to side onshore. In total 16 men heats and one ladies were sailed.
In the men’s elimination round 1 to 3 are done. And two heats of elimination 4 are completed, too. Two big names, Francisco Goya and Philip Köster, didn’t manage to qualify for round 5. 28 male riders are still in an have still the chance to win the Aloha Classic title ein 2024. The big names from the tour like Browne, Fernandez, Noireaux, Pare, Traversa, Dunkerbeck, Gil are still in. And the Maui experts like Roediger, Lenny, Juban, Siver, Swift are still in, too. It will be a tough battle in the upcoming days. The forecast looks quite promising.
