The 2009 IFCA Slalom World Championships, part of the “Zwitserleven Sailweek” on the dutch island of Texel, came to an end yesterday. 40 sailors fought for the title.

5 rounds of Slalom got sailed in quite strong conditions and Bernd Flessner, the multiple German champion and former PWA pro, could win the amateurs Slalom world title with the lowest possible points in front of the well experienced Dutch sailor Jacques van der Hout. Antoine Questel could overtake Jossin Ludovic in the last race having a second discard – the IFCA discards 2 races of 5 – and jumped on the podium as well. Congratulations!
