The Bavarian windsurfer Wolfgang “Woife” Strasser (47) doesn’t care about the cold. He challenged storm Felix at Lake Chiemsee in Germany in below zero degrees and made a short clip about these day. But that’s nothing for Woife, who is one of the most passionate freestylers on the planet. He follows his motto “my life is now” and recommends everyone “live your life now”. And he does not say this without a reason. Wolfgang has been suffering from bone neoplasm, had more than 20 surgeries in the past and he is again in hospital. A week ago he still was on the water.
“I was really overpowered on my 4,0m and honestly feel my age when windsurfing in freezing conditions during the winter. Unfortunately I have again a bone neoplasm, but windsurfing helps me to get my mind free and to supersede the problems about my disease. Freestyling makes fun also being 47 years and I will never give up!” Woife Strasser
Total respect…you inspire me to progress and not find any excuses…all the best
