Austrian PWA Tour freestyle sailor Max Matissek just released this video from his winter training in Cape Town. The 25 year old Podersdorf Local spent two months in South Africa to train for the upcoming season and he seems to be well prepared.
Max Matissek: “I am happy to be home for a bit now. The cold Austrian winter and the heavy snowfalls kept me inside the last days and so I just used that time for editing all the shots I brought with me.”
Max sailed mainly at the Rietvlei Lake, the Lagoon in Langebaan for freestyle and Big Bay for jumping. “Within one hour by car, I can do everything I want from flat water freestyle to chop, jumping or DTL wave riding. This is why it’s such a great place to make a lot of progress in your sailing.” Max explains his decision to spend the winter in South Africa.
