Ross Williams won the 9th annual Storm Rider event in Haifa, Israel

The stand-by contest Storm Rider 2011, with the waiting period between 20.01. – 20.02.2011, took place on 16th of February at Bat Galim beach, Haifa, Israel. The organisers were wait for a big storm with waves and then started the event!

Arnon Dagan, professional windsurfer on the PWA tour and ambassador for the sport of windsurfing in Israel and all over the world, sent the news that the top sailors from Israel are waiting for the sickest storm of the year again for the 9th edition of the contest. The local hotshots were joined in the event by Ross Williams (GBR-83) , Gaastra/Tabou team mate and travel companion of Arnon.
Ross agreed it was worth the wait as he emerged victorious in this his first wave competition of 2011. Congratulations to the very universal sailor from UK winning this high wind wavesailing competition at Haifa.
