on 8. May, 2012 – 13:53 / One Comment

Today the fourth day of the PWA Slalom event in South Korea ended. Unfortunately it was the second day in a row, with teasing conditions and without competition. So far, one elimination got finished in the men´s and women´s category. In the men’s final the Turkish sailor Bora Kozanoglu came out as the winner in front of Antoine Albeau and Antoine Questel. In the ladies competition it was Valerie Arighetti, who won the final in front of Cagla Kubat and Fanny Aubet.

We visited the Turkish surprise winner in his tent on the beach and made a quick interview:

I remember years ago we were sitting on the beach under the trees in Alacati watching that guy delivering amazing speed trying to figure out why was he so fast. With his RRD/Simmer gear he was doing jet speed full planning one handed lay down jibes and 2m chop hops. Everyone was like “Wow, whos that kid ?!” The turkish guys said” Bora, Bora”. Back than I realised that he is going to go big. Anyway, what a pleasant surprise to see Bora after so many years in front of the top pack. I am sure we are yet to hear from him. Congratulations, Bora . Keep the pace man!
