Dutch wave riders Pim van der Borgt and Erik de Landmeter travelled to Gran Canaria last June and enjoyed the conditions there. Pim rotated through really wild double Forwards, tried Shifties, slided through Backside Wave 360s or went for Frontside 360s. He liked windsurfing at Vargas, Philip Köster’s homespot, most. Erik enjoyed the conditions, too landing clean Backies and stalled Forwards. We enjoyed watching the clip of the two Dutchies.

“We stayed there for 3 weeks in June. I tried a few Shifties, I’ve unfortunately not yet landed them. I tried Doubles a lot there, but landed only a few and had some nice crashes (maybe you watched the training diaries)  I’m not used to that really onshore jumping, in Holland the wind is mostly more side shore and with that direction I land them more often. It was my third stay there. We did not have the best conditions, but it is always fun sailing there. Now packing for Capetown, I fly Saturday.” Pim van der Borgt
