On February 7th the first “Tenerife King of Downwind” race took place. The start of the race was at El Poris and the finish 17 km downwind in the bay of El Medano. The winner of the race was the Italian windsurfer Matteo Iachino in front of the German Vincent Langer and the Dutch Jordy Vonk. The best lady was Esther van Geus. The organizer, TWS is looking forward to the next “Tenerife King of Downwind” next year.
