The AWT (American Windsurfing Tour) had a successful second season and already saw 5 tourstops in 2012. Santa Cruz, Pistol River, Baja California, Pacasmayo (Peru) and Cape Hatteras. All events had a result and last year’s Maui winner Camille Juban leads the pro class before the big showdown at Hookipa, Maui. From October 25th till November 3rd more than 100 sailors from 23 different nations will fight for the tour titles in several classes at the Maui Makani Classic and for $ 5000 prize money. A big ladies fleet is expected, too. Competitions will be held in following classes: Pros, Amateurs, Women, Youth, Masters and Grandmasters.
