On the fourth day, Jinha beach was transformed into a port tack slalom sailors playground, which allowed eight hours of racing to be completed. The usual thermal winds – which so often grace South Korea’s number one windsurfing beach – were replaced with a frontal cross shore wind from the left. By the end of the day, two eliminations for both the men and women were completed, whilst the first round of the men’s race four was also sailed.

After Alberto Menegatti won the first elimination on the second day, the reigning world champion Antoine Albeau won the second elimination and Arnon Dagan the third. In the women’s fleet it was Valerie Arrighetti, who claimed her first race victory of the year, before Karin Jaggi reasserted her authority over the event with the second bullet.

Day 5 was a long day on hold for the riders, but ultimately the wind never quite materialized enough to allow the competition to resume. Tomorrow is the last day of racing at Jinha Beach and some of the sailors are anxious to finish the fourth elimination to get the first discard and eliminate some bad points.

At the moment it looks, as if Antoine Albeau and Alberto Menegatti are the two with the biggest chance of claiming the event victory, but the Italian will try everything to hold Albeau off and defend his lead. Karin Jaggi has already a big lead with two victory, but still everything is possible, depending on the amount of races on the final day.
