Happy New Year 2013!!!
Happy New Year from the Continentseven crew! Live the windsurfer’s dream in 2013!
2012 was a very successful year for us. It was a year of intense work, which brought again a growth with new visitors from all around the world.
In 2012 we published more articles than ever, broadened our areas of interest and attended 9 out of 10 PWA events. We were at the Fuerte Wave Classic 2012 as media partner, collaborated with the American Windsurfing Tour, the Surf Worldcup Podersdorf and supported the EFE/EFPT event and the Centaur King of the wind.
We always try to improve the quality of our articles to increase the value and create a good mix of different topics to attract different interests. And up to 25.000 read articles a day, an increasing international community and a big Facebook community are the proof for us, that we are on the right way. We ran several lotteries, integrated a new online store and started to work on a new Continentseven T-Shirt collection behind the scenes.
All this would not have been possible without the great support of our editorial staff, contributors, graphicdesigners and teamriders. Big thanks goes to Dieter van der Eyken, Dario Ojeda, Yegor Popretinskiy, Loick Spicher, Jesper Orth, Julien Mas and Nik van Ingen. Thanks for all your effort.
Another big thanks goes to our advertising partners, event organizers, tour organizers, video producers and all people, who work hard for the sport of windsurfing. Thanks to the industry, who produces the latest equipment to have fun with and invest a lot of energy and money in R&D.
We also want to thank you, the readers, for your attention, participation, criticism, news, comments, suggestions, emails and links over the past year. Continentseven needs your support and we truly appreciate every message we receive. Continentseven is not only created by us. We need you as excited and active users, who participate in the whole creative process. Each of your ideas, suggestions and criticism helps us to improve and grow. There are no borders on the seventh continent. It’s a global network of windsurfers and watersport people, who love to be on the beach, rigg their gear and get out on the water. Windsurfing is a boardsport, which is connected with terms like freedom, liberty and independent lifestyle. Keep on living this style and keep us updated, how you live your windsurfing dream 2013.
Thanks to all of you, who are growing with us. Let’s hope for a windy year 2013 and we are looking forward to see you on the water!!!!
The Continentseven Crew
