Jump Crash Maciek Rutkowski
on 13. October, 2012 – 09:03 / One Comment

Three days ago the Polish sailor Maciek Rutkowski was sailing at his secret homespot in Poland and lost control over his 3.9m2 sail during a straight jump. Maciek: “Once I took off I got this gust that was more onshore than the normal direction and was super strong. Like extra 10-15 knots on top of the 40-45 before. Fully maxed I completely lost control over my 3.9 and got flipped in a weird way. Somehow I managed to fall straight on the mast with my back and was sure that I broke my spine. Luckily the harness prevented any injury. Thanks Unifiber, I guess!”
