only 1 brit and no paddies:-( lookin forward to vid though!

  • jonny says:

how the heck will they judge height with a gps??????? gps only is good for 3 meter resolution. sounds fishy to me. anyone wanna bet oxbow riders will win??????? bozo marketing at its best.

  • gingerchris says:

they will probably be using technology such as shadow box http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVtRJDG60RM … and everybody is always crying out for a spectator pleasing event on maui, so lets not get all upset about marketing conspiracies, especially seeing as oxbow sponsor alot of the best riders in the world, and many of them call Maui home.

  • jonny says:

shadow box would be cool tho the poster marketing claimed this was the first event ever. i think there have been 5 or 6 jumpoff events in maui, gorge and other places, no? if they use shadow box, why not say so?????? why say gps?? something fishy there i think. hope its not tho.

It’s all about fun! Who care who will win, they are all good windsurfers and those who will see that will have a lot of fun! Go big! We already have a good idea of who will jump higher than the other! Probably a local guy…

  • georgi says:

boujmaa is the man to watch.

  • Kuba says:

Dale Cook is a big question for me. He can jump like no one else on flat water, but can he increase his height when jumping off waves???? If he can, Boujmaa’s chances go dooown. :)
Have a nice week, fellow windsurfers!

  • jonny says:

kai has been out jumping with his slalom gear and going to the stars but i think it will not be enough against boujmaa and levi but you cannot forget robby who i think did not compete last year does anybody know?

  • Ace says:

I think it’s a shame that Jonas is not going to be there. I think there are enough fans of his out there that would be willing to contribute and sponsor him. I bet he would win it. The only guy in my mind that might beat him is Dale. I’ll put in 10% of the airfare up to $1500. How could they not invite him if we came up with the money?

  • jonny says:

everyone has been jumping a lot at hookipa since there is a lot of money on the line and i wonder how they will award the moneys?? i know that gps will not work so i think they will time their airtimes??
