Six dicks for one hallelujah video
Five german and one swiss freestyler met each other in Dahab, Egypt to escape the cold winter and improve their windsurfing skills. The video includes some interviews and nice action! EFPT and PWA approved Adrian Beholz, young talent Julian “Jay” Wiemar, Valentin Böckler, who recently got the 2011 € award by the German SURF and boot Düsseldorf, Swiss freestyler, Oliver Stauffacher, David Osietzki and Meikel Thies tried to perform as good as possible. The wind looks light, but nevertheless they had a great time in Egypt.

“ I have been in Dahab together with Oliver Stauffacher for two months this winter. The conditions were great and we improved a lot. For the last two weeks Julian “Jay” Wiemar, David Osietzki, Meikel Thies and Valentin Böckler were joining us,” Adi Beholz reports.
The wind wasn´t that good in this time, but still they filmed on each windy day. Most of the days saw underpowered 4,7 or 5,3 conditions at Dahab. So they couldn´t go for the real powerstuff. Out of our experience it´s very important to be used to lighter wind conditions, because many competitions take place in lighter winds. Just think about Lake Neusiedl, Sylt, Lanzarote, Eilat, Bredene…
The crew of the six Gemans also decided to speak a bit about everybody and try to give a small impression about who is standing behind this video.
Meikel Thies edited the clip and was responsible for the post production. Keep on ripping guys!

this is even worse than Kitesurfing. These guys let me feel totally emberassed being a windsurfer too.
ok…action is ok,some of the guys may be quite talentet…but u act like the the biggest jerks on planet…
using words like “style,sick,nice blabla” does not make u seem cool or “sick” anyway…your behaviour is just embarrassing!
for the next time take some other clips of german freestylers by way of example how to impress without being that ridicoulus…

I think it’s the fact that many young german/austrian windsurfers are trying to show/play a cool, kinda international-windsurf-pro-image of theirselves. But instead, with their mock-pro and acted coolness, with their bad english(ok, mine is not good either, so I would prefer talking german in an “interview” like that) and propably copied sayings by other – not necessarily more intelligent – pros, they are just awkward.

And these guys are just the classic example of german provincial wannabes, which bring the whole windsurf-scene over here in Germany into a rage with their dumb acting.

The only thing I don’t like about this video is the title, which sounds like the title of a bad porn movie.

But I can’t understand why so many people on this platform are complaining about these guys beeing wannabees and should stop to act like pro’s.
I really like the movie, the idea and the way of presenting the riders. The action is great and the music fits to the frames.
The capturing (just a few exceptions) was really good and also variated a lot, which makes it fun and worth to watch. Especially the postproduction is really great, although I can’t see this stopmotion effect anymore

ok, their english is far from being perfect and i think that’s why they are using those expressions…windsurfers usually read here…and this page is full of expressions like sick and so on, so guys with bad english get their vocabulary from here, i guess…but i think you guys are acting really weird…who cares about the image of windsurfing? we do it because it’s fun and like any other sport windsurfing is full of individuals that present themselves diffrently….
It’s a windsurfing video with nice shots and good action…just be glad and stop bitching. Make your own videos if you think that you can do it better

I think, the talk in windsurfing videos can sometimes be compared with the gossip in a porn movie, when like the secretary-chef-conversations, or the barely-dressed-woman-whose-cat-was-safed-by-a-firemen-chat:
all that talk is not absolutly necessery, but it can be very funny and if you’re already too horney to see the action, you just can skip the intro and foreplay stuff. anyway, in the end its mostly the main-part that counts, and who claims to watch porn just because of the interesting dialogues, might have another reason …

Hey guys, I like your video! It is clearly visibly that you are all enthousiastic and passionated surfers.The idea to introduce one to another at the beginning of the video is great – and the way you talk for me is secondary – even if it is not my style to express – you don’t offend anybody, unlike to some others here on the platform. Your action on the water is great to watch, the music is amazing to listen to and that’s the main thing! There are always enviers when you’re doing well, don’t care about and keep on surfing, talking, filming and having fun.

1.It´s not like we didn´t think about your reaction to this video…
And believe me, we are not that stupid we didn´t know there will be a lot of hating. But we didn´t have the opportunity to make a movie with really sick action, because we didn´t have so much wind in the time we were filming… The wind was just two times for about 30 Minutes strong enough to perform something beside the standard sliding stuff. So we knew we won´t have the sickest action with Skopus, Burner to Punetas and stuff like that.
Our decision to make a small clip which is still getting attention was to bring this small introductions for every rider.
And I think it worked out. We got a few thousand views after a couple of days and so much discussion around the clip that I would say it got into many minds;)
2. In Freestylewindsurfing we have just a few professionals. Almost all the guys in the worlds top ten don´t get enough money to live from that and have to work beside.
I´m not even one of this guys so I have to work a couple of weeks every year to effort all my costs. I´m working on exhibitions for a windsurfingshop or as a windsurfinstructor every year. Believe me nobody of us thinks he is a professional or arrogant enough to think he is better than any other guy. I´m in a direct contact to many windsurfers who are in the beginning of learning windsurfing or just a bit better then a beginner because of my jobs… And never ever I thought about I´m a better windsurfer then this guys…
So please don´t think we think we are the coolest guys just because of some windsurfing skills.
If you can, try to take the introductions kinda funny. if you can´t, I actually don´t care and say thank you for bringing up a small discussion about the clip…

I read the comments before watching the video…did some of you people take drugs before you watched the video? is just a cool clip by some Freestylers, bad/good English, who cares, some guys having fun and doing what they love, the best sport I know….seems this forum has a few clowns who love to be negative, thinking they are really funny with their comments….but you are not funny, just very sad…maybe stick to the other forums where someone wants to listen to that kind of crap…maybe it´s time for C7 to just ban you…
