German Freestyle Battle 3.0

on 27. August, 2010 – 20:51 / No Comment

The organizers of the “German Freestyle Battles” and the Choppy Water GmbH as organizer and marketer of the official German Windsurf Cup (DWC) announced their cooperation for future events. The German Freestyle Battle events get now an official DWC status and points for the Championship ranking.

From dissatisfaction with the actual situation for freestyle windsurfers the riders organized the “German Freestyle Battles” this year, a new independent competition format. What was maybe missing for example for sponsors was an official status. Now the organizers of the Freestyle Battles and the Choppy Water GmbH have decided to pool their forces. Together they want to offer the discipline of freestyle a perfect platform.

From 3.-19. September the next and final “German Freestyle Battle” event will take place at the Baltic Sea/Germany and the best German Freestylers will fight for the “German Freestyle Champion” title. The favourites for the title are Johannes Witte, Normen Günzlein and Adrian Beholz.

This competition will by a Stand-By competition but the organizers hope for wind on the first weekend, because at this weekend the annual “Zuparken” festival takes place at Kägsdorf and a lot of spectators are expected.
