EFPT Rip Curl Prince of the Wind – Day 2

The EFPT final on Naxos got also good windconditions on day 2 and the double elimination could be finished. Steven van Broeckhoven proofs again his incredible high skills and also wins the supersession of the day.

Double Elimination:

Steven van Broeckhoven wins the double elimination at the EFPT final on the Aegean island of Naxos as well.

The conditions got suitable in the early afternoon. Steven could beat German filmmaker and top freestyler Andre Paskowski. On the following place the young generation is pushing hard! Belgien Dieter van Eyken could place in third position, followed by Meir Yarden from Israel. Dieter is just 17 years old!! Steven van Broeckhoven seems to be almost unbeatable on the EFPT in this season and proofed his extremely high skills on the PWA tour already, which he could finish in overall 5th position (Andre 7th).


Supersession:

In the afternoon a supersession was started in front of the beachcafe Flisvos!!

It was set for 30 minutes. The best trick of each riders got judged. To accelerate the riders to a decent speed the Flisvos Sportclub crew provided a motor boot in the heat area. A switch Cachoo one handed from Davy Scheffers and a one handed Bob by Dieter van der Eyken placed the young kids ex aequo on third place. Brasilian Edvan Souza de Pedro finished in 2nd doing a one handed Shaka and Steven van Broeckhoven won the Supersession of the second day at the Rip Curl Prince of the Wind with a Burner Diabolo.

2 more days of competition are left, but Steven is of course already EFPT Champion 2009. And the windforecast does not look too promising.
