Reunion Wave Classic 2009 – First test session

Test session in Etang Salé

Today the boys were a bit tired this morning after having a nice opening party yesterday night. But it was worth to get up. The wind was strong already in St Pierre, with a good windswell pumping in Ravine Blanche. But the riders decided to wait and sail later the afternoon in Etang Salé.

The wind blew side offshore, but gusty wind finally came in with some small clean glassy waves peeling on the reef, allowing the riders to have some fun. The Wave Classic is a fun event, not a hardcore contest. And more than 10 days are left to get results.
The plan is to sail in Ravine Blanche tomorrow morning, which is known as a real spot.
